Learn more about our Academic Learning Communities and how you can become a part of a village that lives and learns together.
Imagine a place where families came together in small learning communities to share the responsibility of providing core classes in Math, English/Language Arts, Reading, Science, Social Studies, Black history and Foreign Language. If this sounds like something you're family could benefit from, then please allow us to introduce the A KnUW Way Academic Learning Community Program.
Each Learning Community allows up to 5 Families to meet regularly on the day(s) and times of their choosing to teach their children communally. Each family provides a representative to act as a homeschool monitor with oversight from our Education Advisor.
Each family pays a set fee to secure the services of the Education Administrator who provides support and oversight for the Academic Learning Community. Participating families may also add the services of an Educational Advisor (tutor) that provides the instruction for selected academic courses OR your community may share the teaching responsibilities among the parents.
Student participants must be school aged although accommodations may be made for younger siblings. All school aged students will learn together using a differentiated program that meets them on their specific level. Specific dates and times will be determined by each Learning Community.
Families meet at each other's homes to help foster a true sense of community and the specific subjects a student will cover is set by his or her parents.

One of the biggest stressors to home study programs stems from the practice of placing "education" above experience. Our learning method is inspired by ancient Africans who used a simple yet effective method to prepare our children to take our place. Are you ready love living and learning with your children again?
