Learn how to safely and humanely process your flock with our chicken processing course. The class is 2-hours long and covers how to prepare your birds for processing, harvesting and cleaning your birds, and preserving your birds. You can bring your own chicken(s) and a cooler with ice to store your meat after processing.
Learning about the flora and fauna native to your area is a great way to begin developing your self-reliance. This is a 1-hour walking tour is held at the Savannah-Ogeechee Canal with a master naturalist.
This 1-hour class introduces the art of crochet to beginning and intermediate learners. Participants will learn how to select the correct yarn and hook for a specific project, learn how to create a chain and build on it, and learn the "single" and "half-double" crochet stitches.
